The Gateway Heritage Centre

The Gateway Heritage Group consists of a group of local women who are driven by Art, History, Creativity and Enterprise. Having recognised the potential and history of Castleisland town, the group came together with the common view of utilising an existing facility to improve and attract more visitors into the area. This will in turn drive investment and will have the potential to create new avenues of employment in Castleisland town. Castleisland is the gateway to Kerry and the beautiful southwest. This area is steeped in culture and rich in local and national history is bereft of a central platform to showcase all this information.
