Born to Run – Tralee Marathon Club

Born to Run was founded at IT Tralee in 2010 with the aim of making running accessible to all. It has grown from a small college society to a club with a membership open to anyone wishing to dip there toe into the sport of road running and since it’s foundation over 500 members have benefited from a simple formula that has seen members progress from couch to 5k, 10k 10mile, half marathon, marathon and beyond. Born to Run is particularly proud that membership is free to all persons over 18 and the club constitution dictates that it shall remain so. Born to Run offers no training or couching but as members progress in their own development they are asked to share there experience with those who come to the club after them, just as those who have gone before shared their experience with them. We run from the Aquadome car park in Tralee at 6:30PM, Monday to Friday and members also arrange to meet for a morning run at the weekends. All are welcome so come and give it a go if you feel you would like to try.
