Caragh Bridge Angling Club

To maintain access to the Lower Caragh River for the wider community including fishermen. The club was set up in 1998 when the river nearly fell in private exclusive ownership. The community rallied around and raise €50,000 to fight their case in the high court. The courts put inplace an agreement that the river would remain open to the club for a base rent of €5 per year.
