Kerry PPN Autumn Plenary and Community Networking Event

Join us for an evening of networking, upskilling and information for community groups on Thursday 9th October at The Brehon, Killarney.

Doors open at 6.45pm, first speaker 7.15pm

To promote active membership in the PPN, we highly recommend that member groups attend this informative networking event .

In addition to traditional plenary formalities, this event will also include a presentation from Ger Deering, Ombudsman and Information Commissioner on his role, a presentation on future funding opportunities for community groups by Kerry County Council and the opportunity to learn about Kerry Volunteer Centre.

We are also delighted to host information stands from many services and supports across the county who will there to offer information on what is available to assist community groups in their work.

  • Learn about the Office of the Ombudsman and the role they can play if you or the people you support, feel unfairly treated by public services such as the HSE, local authorities, Government departments, hospitals, nursing homes and third-level institutions.
  • Get an overview of upcoming funding programmes for community groups in Kerry County Council.
  • Have the opportunity to input into the current consultation on the National Volunteer Strategy.
  • Meet representatives from services who work with community groups in Kerry including LAWPRO, Kerry Recreation & Sports Partnership, BHP Insurance, Discover Kerry, HSE Community Department, Local Link Kerry, KCC Biodiversity Officer, Kerry Age Friendly Programme, Kerry Volunteer Centre

Due to the large number in attendance at previous events, we strongly recommend that you register attendees in advance which will enable the PPN to have adequate levels of seating and refreshments in place for all.
