Concepts & Design of Spaces and Places: 2025 Training Resources
In March 2025 we were delighted to launch with O’Leary & Associates a targeted mentoring programme for community groups who were in the process of developing or redesigning their community space. After seeking expressions of interest ten community groups were selected for the programme which consisted of two in person workshops focusing on:
- Exploring the needs of the group
- Exploring the needs of the community – what needs analysis has been completed
- Exploring the priority services and facilities needed
- Overview of the project development and planning process
- Overview of the feasibility study and business case assessment required for capital projects
- Overview of potential funding options

The course also involved a site visit and one on one mentoring with O’Leary & Associates which included recommendations based on opportunities, and constraints identified during the training.
