At the July meeting of the Kerry Older People’s Council Executive, staff from Kerry County Museum shared the early stages of an exciting new collaboration with Age Friendly Kerry.

The collaboration forms part of the Mindful Museum Project, which is helping to develop inclusive, dementia-friendly and age-friendly experiences both within the museum and through its outreach programme.

As part of this initiative, a series of interactive workshops will take place across Kerry during the Kerry Science Festival in November 2026, creating opportunities for people of all ages to explore, learn and engage together.

The project is funded by MTU and Creative Ireland.

We’re looking forward to sharing more about this exciting initiative soon!
