The Club was established on 4th December 2006 and has since its establishment grown and developed beyond expectations. Sliabh Luachra Boxing Club Castleisland in this time we have established ourselves as an integral part of the local community. The club is a voluntary community project and is managed and run by local volunteers. The boxing club aims to encourage and support disadvantaged young people and adults boxing take a lot of discipline, and the members involved have to adopt a positive attitude towards all their doings in and outside the club. The club supports competitive and non-competitive boxing and currently has a membership of 65 young people and 20 adults.
