The aim and objectives of Sean Cháirde is to alleviate loneliness and isolation. To encourage groups to create opportunities for elderly people, to participate fully in all activities, to develop awareness of the needs of the elderly. Also to share information and to lobby on issues affecting older people. Activities include social and fun days, dancing, bowls and crafts, holiday and information days, IT training etc.
