Cashen Vale Boxing Club

The Cashen Vale Amateur Boxing Club was established in 1996. Its a vibrant and active club which is run and supervised to the highest standards. The facilities provided at the Irish collage Ballybunion are of huge benefit not only for the club itself but also visiting clubs.While the club draws its membership from Ballybunion, Ballylongford, Kilflynn and the surrounding areas of North Kerry, such is the appeal of the club that it also attracts boxers from further afield, including areas such as Abbeyfeale, Killarney, Tralee and Milltown. Its members have achieved recognition and won awards at both National and International level.The club has won 13 national championship titles and one European silver medal since the club was established, and we are looking forward to continuing our success story in the years agead. Over the years the Club has hosted several Tournaments. County and Munster Championships. In 2004 the Club hosted the Four Nation Cadets Championships, and in 2005 the Irish Multinations Senior Tournament and in 2008 Ireland versus Russia (Seniors). The Cashen Vale Boxing Club was the recipient of an Award in the Physical activity categorie at the Kerry Community Awards Banquet in Killarney in 2009.And in 2010 the club won 4 National titles….a record for any club in Kerry in the same season. To ensure that the best prastice is followed by Cashen Vale Boxing Club we shall work closely with our Governing Body. In order to promote the best practice in childrens sport, we shall comply with the guidelines of the Code of Ethics and good practice for Children’s sport; as set out in section 2.7 of the Child Protection Policy). The management of the Club is in the hands of a very genuine and dedicated group of people who have a lifetime association and involvement with sport and especially Boxing.
