Heritage Ireland 2030 – Keeping you in the picture
Tuesday 28 May 2019 (from 12pm – 4pm)
The Printworks, Dublin Castle; online via live-stream
During the recent Heritage Ireland 2030 public consultation, over 70 public workshops were held across the country and more than 1500 organisations and individuals made submissions on what our heritage means to them. Such was the overwhelming level of response, and the great desire of people to make their voices heard on heritage issues, that the consultation was extended by one month until the end of March.
The Department of Culture, Heritage and the Gaeltacht has begun an analysis of these submissions, laying the foundations for what will become our overarching heritage policy.
We are hugely encouraged by the enormous level of interest and support for our heritage and inspired by the range of actions and priorities suggested by the submissions. So, to mark the end of the public consultation and to thank all those who made submissions, the Department will host an information session on 28 May in the Printworks, Dublin Castle.
This session will be an opportunity to:
· Take stock of what the Heritage Ireland 2030 process has achieved to date
· Hear some of the initial findings from the consultation
· Stay informed about the next steps
· Meet, make connections and learn more about the work of others who care about Ireland’s heritage
We look forward to seeing you there!
